We would like to thank this fold for returning to Ennerdale Highland Cattle to use our genetics to improve their herd. We first came in contact with Justin several years ago when he and his family started using Artificial Insemination as a means of improving their fold.. After purchasing some genetics specifically selected by Ennerdale Highlands, we were so pleased to hear that they had a successful breeding and produced a lovely heifer at the end of the procedure. As we all know A.I. is a process and doesn’t always work. Congratulations to their young A.I technician!

Recently Justin called to have a chat and talk about buying a bull. We were at first reluctant to sell this young Uallach bull, as he has the most outstanding temperament, he has been halter trained and was always the perfect gentleman. We were planning to keep him as a sweeper bull for our own AI programme. He has a bit of growing out to do, but we were able to see some great potential in him. We have found that all our Uallach Dubh the 5th offspring have been very quiet and have a friendly demeanor. This is the most important trait for our fold along with structure and conformation.

We are very keen to follow Uallach with his new fold and see his offspring. We wish Justin, Wendy and family all the best for future Breeding and thank them for choosing to improve their fold with Ennerdale Highland Cattle genetics.
